The first episode of “40 Days: Canelo vs Jacobs” was called “Roots.” The second is called “Drive,” and it opens with Canelo driving a car. Pretty clever, huh?

“Daniel Jacobs’ skills make him a dangerous fighter,” Canelo says. “He’s bigger than me, taller. He’s a well-rounded fighter that can fight both stances. He has experience, he knows what he’s doing in the ring, and that makes him a more dangerous fighter.”

“In my mind, I’m not a household name. In my mind, I’m still up and coming. In my mind, even though I’m still champion, I have a lot more to prove,” Jacobs says. “But it just drives me when I’m training, it drives me when I’m inside the ring, it drives me to be the best fighter that I can be.”

Oh! Drive, like — oh, I get it now. That kind of drive.
