Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi to go on Floors in Mumbai This May?

After getting a glimpse of Akshay Kumar as ATS Chief Veer Sooryavanshi in Simmba, fans are now eagerly waiting for Rohit Shetty’s next ‘Sooryavanshi’. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif and as per the latest reports, the shooting of the film will kick-start in Mumbai.

According to Mirror, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s film will kick-start in Mumbai on May 6 and will be shot at some of the real locations. The shooting of Sooryavanshi may continue for 10 to 12 days in Mumbai.

As quoted by Mirror, “The set of a house has been designed at Mehboob studio wherein the couple will film some romantic scenes”. After shooting in Mumbai, the second location will be in Bangkok. “Rohit Shetty will be canning a larger than life introductory scene with Akshay at some landmark locations in Bangkok, and Katrina is unlikely to be part of this shoot”.

Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar have given several hit films together like Namastey London, Singh is Kinng, De Dana Dan among others. They were last seen together in the 2010 film Tees Maar Khan and after nine years, the actors are all set to reunite with Rohit Shetty‘s Sooryanvanshi.

All three films in Rohit’s police-series including Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba, have been tremendously successful at the Box Office. Rohit Shetty said that he wants to acknowledge the true heroes of the country – police, in his films and therefore, he is sincerely working on cop-series. The film is produced by Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar under Johar’s banner of Dharma Productions. Sooryavanshi will release on Eid 2020.
