Senior Afghan official arrested for hiring sex worker in Goa of India: police
The Indian police officials have claimed to have arrested a senior government official on charges of hiring sex worker.
The official identified as Mohammad Omar Arian, the director internal audit in the ministry of telecommunications and information technology, was arrested in Calangute town of Goa on Monday.
Arian was held along with another individual who has been identified as Mohammad Ajmal Hodan who is an advocate.
Calangute police inspector Nolasco Raposo has told local media outlets the two men had hired two Uzbekistan women for th epurpose of prostitution with the help of a pimp identified as sanjiv.
An offence has been under registered against the two men under Sections 370, 380 (3) of IPC and Sections 4,5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
According to reports, one of the women has also been booked for staying without a valid visa.
