Majority of Dems Back Boston Bomber Voting
The Democrats as a political movement are rushing into deeper extremes with no breaking point. But their base is happy enough to endorse whatever crazy policy idea is being mainstreamed today.
The ACLU decided to open the Overton Window and endorse prisoners voting.
Bernie Sanders became the only major 2020 candidate to endorse the Boston Bomber vote. And the Quinnipiac poll shows a majority of Dems are for prisoners voting.
While respondents overall oppose prisoners voting by 65% to 31%, among Democrats a majority, 50% support while 46% oppose.
That's close enough to the margin of error that you might call it a draw, but like legalizing pedophilia or mandatory euthanasia for people over 65, this shouldn't even be close.
What's tipping the scale may be the Dems narrowing down to a majority minority party. While 72% of white people oppose serial killer voting, 58% of black people support it, as do 43% of Hispanics (55% of Hispanics oppose).
Among millennials, 56% support serial rapists voting. The numbers fall off dramatically after 34, but it's not just socialism being normalized in that demographic.
If you can think of a terrible idea, the trainwreck party will be on board with it.
