Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav chose actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha’s wife Poonam Sinha, who had not been with any political party before, as his party’s Lucknow candidate against union home minister Rajnath Singh, the sitting BJP MP.
