New York man survives getting hit by train after falling on Brooklyn tracks
A lucky straphanger in New York survived a brush with death on Sunday.
The 39-year-old man fell onto the tracks at a Brooklyn subway station and narrowly missed a fatal impact with a passing Q train, NY Daily News reports, citing police.
He stumbled onto the tracks at the Sheepshead Bay station, at Sheepshead Bay Road and E. 16th St., at about 3:50 p.m., cops said.
A northbound Q train struck him, but it was apparently a glancing impact after the train operator pulled the brakes in time, MTA officials said.
He survived largely unscathed, and medics took him to Coney Island Hospital for observation, police said Sunday night.
Q train service, which was delayed in both directions, resumed at about 4:30 p.m.
