Steph Curry in agony as he dislocates finger in match… before docs pop it back in

STEPHEN CURRY was left in agony after he dislocated his finger during Tuesday’s night massive NBA Playoffs showdown – before doctors popped it back in.

The former unanimous MVP, 31, badly hurt his hand in the first quarter of the Golden State’s Warriors game with the Houston Rockets.

Curry was seen clutching his left – non-shooting – hand early on in the game, with his middle finger sticking out at a sickening angle.

The superstar point guard headed off to the locker room, had it popped back into the joint and returned to the court – with his fingers taped together.

Incredibly, Curry went on to score 20 points as the Warriors took a 2-0 series lead over the Rockets.

At the time, US reporter Allie LaForce revealed: “Steph Curry dislocated his left middle finger.

X-RAY NEGATIVE

“They popped it back in. X-rays were negative, he’s going to continue to play.”

After the game, Curry revealed he was in pain but would continue to fight on at such a crucial part of the season – with the Warriors currently competing in the seven-game Western Conference semi-finals.

The Warriors All-Star said: “It hurts, but it will be alright. I didn’t break anything, so that’s fortunate.

“I’ll just have to deal with the pain and hopefully, before Saturday, it will go away.

“I’ve never had a dislocated finger before… I was trying to will my way through it.

“I was able to still make plays. I didn’t make as many shots as I wanted to, but we won the game.”

Golden State have won both of their two opening home games and will now head to Houston for Game 3 as they look to make it three NBA titles in a row.
