WWE confirm Saudi Arabia show and announce Goldberg is out of retirement

GOLDBERG will come out of retirement after WWE announced the icon is part of their next Saudi Arabia show.

The wrestling company have confirmed, in partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, their latest Middle East pay-per-view for June 7.

It will be held at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

And despite a huge amount of blockbuster names, the controversial event is set to see WWE’s female stars, including double champ Becky Lynch, miss out due to strict gender parity rules in the Kingdom.

Goldberg has not competed in WWE since WrestleMania 33 in April 2017 since he was defeated by Brock Lesnar.

And he will be joined by “The Beast” and the legendary Undertaker next month.

WWE Universal champion Rollins, WWE title holder Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles and Braun Strowman have also been named among the star-studded line-up.

The King Abdullah Stadium hosted last April’s Greatest Royal Rumble, the first show in the company’s partnership with the GSA.

However, WWE’s announcement will no doubt cause controversy again.

November’s Crown Jewel event was fiercely criticised after the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, purportedly by Saudi officials.

Vince McMahon’s company faced huge pressure to pull out of its Saudi deal in the aftermath of the scandal.
