Procedure of oil transit resumption agreed upon by Druzhba pipeline operators
Druzhba pipeline operators and European oil recipients in Budapest, with the participation of a delegation from PJSC Ukrtransnafta, at an extended meeting have discussed the resumption of oil supplies from Russia to Belarus and Ukraine via the Druzhba gas pipeline, Ukrtransnafta’s press service has reported.
In particular, the parties discussed the technical aspects of oil transit resumption and undertook joint commitments to release one line of the Druzhba pipeline from the Russian Federation through the territory of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine, displacing off-grade oil from these sites to the tank farms of OJSC Gomeltransneft Druzhba, JSC Ukrtransnafta, MOL and Transpetrol for a total of about 400,000 tonnes.
“In the coming days, high-quality oil is expected to flow from the Russian Federation to the territory of the Republic of Belarus and further to Ukraine. The approximate date of receipt of high-quality oil at delivery points in the EU is May 18, 2019,” the report says.
