Drunk and disorderly passengers fined by court

Two passengers were fined €1,500 each for being drunk and disorderly on a plane.

The men, a 23-year-old from Ireland and a 23-year-old Briton, were charged on Wednesday in front of magistrate Ian Farrugia with hindering the airline crew who were trying to carry out their duties, and with disturbing public peace.

The prosecution was led by inspector Silvio Magro.
