Ex-WWE star Dean Ambrose returns as Jon Moxley in teaser video
Former WWE star Dean Ambrose revealed the next chapter of his wrestling career just a few days after his final match with WWE, which seemingly marked the end of an epic eight-year run with the company. WWE announced in January that Ambrose would not be renewing his contract, just two weeks after he had dropped the Intercontinental championship on Raw. Ambrose, whose real name is Jonathan Good, did not take part in WrestleMania 35, and made his last appearance teaming up with The Shield on April 21st.
Good is moving on from the Dean Ambrose character, a WWE creation, and will return to the ring as Jon Moxley, a name he used as an independent wrestler from his debut in 2004 until his move to WWE in 2011.
It has been speculated for months that Good could potentially be headed to All Elite Wrestling, an upstart wrestling promotion owned by Jaguars owner Shahid Khan and led by former WWE star Cody Rhodes, along with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. AEW’s first show will be staged May 25th in Las Vegas, Good’s hometown.
Other fans believe that Good’s “exit” from WWE is simply an elaborate storyline, and that he’ll be returning to WWE as Jon Moxley.
