ScHoolboy Q's "CrasH Talk" Projected For A Big First Week

0

Last Friday, ScHoolboy Q dropped off his fifth studio album CrasH Talkfeaturing appearances from Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, YG, and more. Never one his hide his ambition for chasing the bag, Q jokingly reached to J. Cole, inquiring about the "stream faking machines" he mentioned in "A Lot." "J. Cole, wassup wit da macHine u was talking bout. I'm tryna see sumtHin," laughed Q. In the same clip, he detailed his aspirations to hit number one, as he once did with albums of yore. "I've been number one in the country before and I'm not gon' lie," he wrote. "I want to go number one in the country again. F*ck all that number two sh*t dawg."

Sadly, Q's aspirations for number one fell slightly short, due to the devoted following of worship collective Hillsong and their PEOPLE album. Not to mention, the lingering pop presence of P!nk and her Hurts 2B Human proved simply too universal for a TDE cult hero. Yet Q's numbers were strong by all accounts, with the rapper's CrasH Talk turning in a projected 80-85k, with 15-18k stemming from physical copies.

Congratulations to ScHoolboy Q, who held it down with an enjoyable effort on his fifth go-around. What did you think of CrasH Talk, now that the dust has had time to settle?
