Mum slammed for booking a full ‘Hollywood wax’ just weeks before her baby’s due date
A MUM-TO-BE has been slammed online for booking a full “Hollywood wax” just weeks before her baby’s due date.
Posting on the parenting forum Mumsnet, the mum revealed how having a wax is the only thing that will make her feel “nice and clean” ahead of her baby’s arrival.
But considering how pregnancy makes waxing all the more painful (as a result of increased skin sensitivity), the woman asked other users if she was “nuts” for booking in at the salon.
What’s more, the woman was so desperate for a wax that she even “ended up getting [her] other half to shave [her] about two weeks ago.”
Surprisingly, the woman added: “I’m having a planned C-section so it’s not about lots of people seeing my lady area. It’s just for me.”
However, other Mumsnet users have labelled the woman “crazy” for getting a wax so late into her pregnancy.
One replied: “Yes you are nuts. Just wait until your baby is born.”
Based on the woman’s dilemma, another added: “What an appalling time to be a woman.”
However, another urged the mum to “do whatever makes you feel comfortable”.
They wrote: “Total bush or all off – who really cares? Good luck.
Recognising why the mum-to-be is keen to get a wax this late in the game, a wellwisher replied: “I remember the discomfort and frustration of not being able to see or position myself properly to epilate at the end of my pregnancy.
“I’m too much of a wimp to wax but if you can do it, go for it!”
