Ernesto Valverde who is the manager of Spanish champions Barcelona has warned his wards to be wary of Liverpool forwards ahead of their Champions League semifinal encounter.

Barcelona will on Wednesday night, May 1, host Liverpool in what will be a tough Champions League semifinal clash at the Nou Camp as history favors the Reds.

Liverpool are still in serious battle with Manchester City for the Premier League title with two games to end the season.

Valverde believes the quality of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane coupled with their intense pressing could cause his side problems over the course of the two legs.

“They are a fearsome rival in many aspects and a very good rival.

“They are playing for their league title versus Manchester City, we just won our league title last week. We have to play against them and they are very powerful with extraordinary forwards.

Liverpool have only lost one game in the Premier League and that says a lot about our rival,'' Valverde explained according to UK Mirror.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Philippe Coutinho sent a warning to his Barcelona teammates ahead of their Champions League encounter against Premier League giants Liverpool.

Barcelona will be at home at the Nou Camp to host Jurgen Klopp's men in the semifinal first leg encounter, and Philippe Coutinho said his teammates need to be careful.

Coutinho told his teammates that their focus should not only be on Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but the whole team.
