Game of Thrones’ Night King proves even he has fun behind the scenes in pics revealed by cast
THE Game Of Thrones characters have been embroiled in a bitter battle for the Iron Throne since the series began but behind the scenes even the most serious characters know how to have fun.
Even the terrifying Night King (Vladimír Furdík) likes to have a laugh when the cameras stop rolling.
The Slovak actor, 48, who joined the show in season six and was killed off by Arya Stark in Monday nights episode, looks worlds away from his chilling alter-ego.
It’s no surprise that the majority of Vladimir’s behind the scenes snaps posted on his Instagram show him wearing his evil character’s intricate prosthetics – that can take around five to six hours to apply.
But, the funniest of all his snaps show the Night King enoying an ice pop alongside stunt coordinator Rowley Irlam as the pair celebrated the end of the terrifying ice cold villain.
Meanwhile, Daenerys Taergeryn (Emilia Clarke) shows that while the Mother of Dragons might be serious in front of the cameras, behind the scenes she’s always up for a laugh with her fellow co-stars.
The Stormborn selfie taker’s photo library ranges from a snap alongside her beloved season one Dothraki husband Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) to her current romance with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and even some of her ‘subjects’ get a look in at some off-screen fun with the star.
Although if you genuinely believed that Viserion, Drogon and Rhaegal were real dragons then look away, as the actress has shared a few sneak peaks at the green screen magic that helps bring the HBO fantasy series to life.
Meanwhile, it’s hard to imagine what brave warrior Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and her sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) looked like when the series began eight years ago.
But behind the scenes shots posted recently show the characters right at the beginning of their journey at home in Winterfell.
And unlikely off-screen friendships flourish on set as judging by the shots even the biggest enemies are the best of friends in reality.
