Distressed tourist pictured collecting ‘rubbish thrown in Indian Ocean by Billie Faiers’ yobbish wedding party’ as they filmed Mummy Diaries special

A DISTRESSED tourist retrieved an abandoned plastic inflatable from the Indian Ocean after Billie Faiers’ ‘yobbish wedding party’ littered the idyllic beach resort.

The image, exclusively obtained by The Sun Online, shows the holidaymaker wading back to shore with the large ball after it had been left to drift in the beauty spot.

In videos filmed by another shocked tourist, the party’s music can be heard blaring while revellers repeatedly shriek and yell, disrupting the peaceful resort.

The noise was so loud that it could be heard in a villa 750 metres away, spoiling a £7,500 holiday.

One holidaymaker told us: “I felt embarrassed to be a Brit.

“A wild pool party spoilt the idyllic sunset venue for many honeymooners. The Maldives is renowned for its beautiful waters and abundant marine life but the party allowed a massive plastic beach ball with ‘Happy Birthday Arthur’ be released into the sea and left to drift.

“A disgusted French woman swam out to retrieve the ball and said she hated to see plastic in this beautiful ocean. David Attenborough would be appalled.”

The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Billie for comment.

Families previously told how their luxury ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ five-star break to the Maldives was “ruined” by 100 boozed-up reality TV guests.

Holidaymakers complained after film crews and “yobs” invited to the beach wedding caused “bedlam”.

One mum, who paid out £7k for her break in the Indian Ocean, sobbed: “They’ve turned this paradise island into the Costa del Sol.”

Fury erupted on the tranquil resort of Kuramathi when the wedding party “invaded”.

Guests were appalled to find TV crews filming across the heavenly five-star exclusive nirvana.

After complaints were made, ITVBe cameras were restricted to dedicated areas – but they were subsequently cordoned off from other holidaymakers.

Guests were banned from an area of the serenity pool, and the next door sand bar, for Billie’s hen party.

Other areas cordoned off have included the Island Coffee shop garden, champagne loft, and palm restaurant.

Brits told how some guests to The Mummy Diaries star’s wedding to Greg Shepherd were “drunk, noisy and rude”.

The reality TV couple are getting hitched in a beach ceremony on the island’s mile-long sandbank.

An emotional holidaymaker from Liverpool who had saved for years for her exotic break told The Sun: “This was the opposite of what I was expecting.

“It was meant to be the height of luxury, but it’s full of drunken yobs shouting and trying to be the centre of attention.

“Guests who have saved for years to be here are so upset.”

Reality TV stars who have flown out for the show, to be aired on ITVBe within weeks, include Billie’s best mate Ferne McCann.

The wedding got off to a disastrous start when Billie’s family and friends were accused of sparking a 13-hour ‘flight from hell’ to the Maldives.

Her drunk stepdad was kicked off her wedding party flight before guests hurled abuse and stole wine off the air stewards’ trolley.

The flight from Gatwick was delayed for an hour as Dave Chatwood was escorted off the plane.

Brits said guests were ‘drunk, noisy and rude’

A Maldives holidaymaker told The Sun over the phone: “The group has been a nightmare.

“They go around in a gang. I’ve seen Greg and quite a few of his mates shouting for waiter service and being loud.

“For a holiday that we wanted to be quiet, they’ve bombarded the island.

“They’ve taken over; we can’t go to places on the island.”

The mum, who booked the week-long holiday through Kuoni, said they should have been warned parts of the Maldives would be closed off.

She said: “We never go on a luxury holiday like this because I’ve got a child with disabilities and it’s something we saved up for so it’s a bit annoying to say the least.

“We’re upset because we paid a lot of money to come away and it’s meant to be quiet and a chilled location. We will be formally complaining and seeking compensation.”

Kuoni reps told holidaymakers that “hotels do not always share information with us when they do have groups.”

Kuoni told The Sun at the time: “We want to make sure that all guests are able to enjoy their holiday and have taken steps to ensure that the wedding group respects the privacy of other customers.

“We have representatives on the island who are talking to guests at the moment to reassure them that filming is restricted to specific areas, with a team in place to manage the wedding.

“It’s our priority to ensure that everyone is able to continue to relax and enjoy their time away and we’ll be doing everything we can to discuss individual concerns so we are able sort everything out as soon as we can.”
