You could get your next MOT for just £10 when you buy anything from Halfords
MANY drivers will often put off booking a MOT test in a bid to save money.
But a deal from Halfords could mean you’ll only have to fork out £10.
Customers who purchase anything from a Halfords store can book their car into a £10 MOT at the retailer’s auto centres.
After making an online or in-store purchase, you will be given a voucher which can be used for the discounted service.
You’ll need to book in the MOT before June 26 though, with the actual tests being carried out until May 16 next year.
But you better get in quick as the promotion runs until May 15.
An average MOT test can cost up to £55 for a standard car and £30 for a motorcycle.
The maximum fine for driving without a valid MOT is £1,000, even if your previous roadworthy certificate is still current.

And if your car is deemed to be in a “dangerous condition”, you could also be slapped with a maximum £2,500 fine, three penalty points and a potential driving ban.
Andy Randall, managing director at Halfords Autocentres, said: “We want to help drivers through their lifetime of motoring and it’s clear from our research that MOT tests hit them in the wallet.
“This promotion means anyone visiting a Halfords retail store to pick up any essentials can bag a much- needed MOT from Halfords Autocentres at a very low price.”
