Man Utd boost in Thomas Meunier transfer pursuit as PSG chase £55m in sales to comply with FFP
MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Thomas Meunier.
Le Parisien claims Paris Saint-Germain need to raise £55million by June 30 to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.
And Meunier is up for a quick-fire sale along with Arsenal target Christopher Nkunku.
SunSport understands the right-back has been targeted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a bid to strengthen his defence this summer.
Antonio Valencia is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
And that leaves just youngster Diogo Dalot as United’s only recognised right-back.
The Red Devils had been looking to bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

But Solskjaer feels he needs more experience in the position.
And Belgium international Meunier has emerged as the ideal candidate.
The 27-year-old can also play at left-back or as an emergency central midfielder.
He has had to battle Dani Alves and Timo Kehrer for a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s side this season.
And Meunier could feel the time is right to leave, with veteran Alves in line for a contract extension at the Parc des Princes.

Meanwhile, United could jump at the chance to get a deal sorted quickly.
PSG agreed to pay £55m by the end of June to avoid sanctions for breaking FFP rules following the combined £366m captures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe over the last two years.
And they are happy to let Meunier leave for around £20m, while Nkunku could be heading to Premier League rivals Arsenal for £18m.
