During his address, the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Aminu Umar, urged the state government to pay the newly approved of N30,000 minimum wage.
The chairman begged the state government to look into the plight of retired teachers and local government staffers who have waited so long for their benefits.
Comrade Umar also asked the government to address salary difference between primary and secondary schools teachers in the state and to pay 2018 leave grant of tertiary institutions.

He said the timely payment of salary, training and retraining of staff and the recent sale of government quarters to workers among others were some of the move the government has made.
