LateSail supports RNLI Mayday campaign

0

Yacht charter company LateSail is lending its support to the RNLI’s Mayday campaign to promote the importance of safety at sea to the sailing community.

The RNLI’s annual campaign is a yellow-themed fundraiser aiming to raise £700,000  to fund the vital kit that protects RNLI volunteers in all weathers.
LateSail’s team are keen sailors and understand how important it is to have a service dedicated to protect people enjoying the UK’s 19,000 miles of coastline and inland waters.

The team is encouraging its customers to donate £5 to the charity for every booking made in May. The company will then match each donation and contribute £5 themselves.

They will also be producing a series of blogs, video and social media content  on Facebook throughout May to raise awareness of being safe on a yacht charter holiday.

For every booking made by US customers, LateSail will donate $5 to the Virgin Islands Search And Rescue (VISAR), the non-profit search and rescue operation in the British Virgin Islands.

LateSail has a personal connection to the RNLI as its General Manager, Sebastian, is a volunteer at his local lifeboat station in Gravesend, Kent.
