Paedo said he only abducted and molested four-year-old girl to ‘rescue’ her from parents’ dirty home
A SUSPECTED paedophile claims he molested and abducted a four-year-old girl to save her from her parents’ filthy house.
Thomas Andrew Dewald, 20, admitted to touching the child inappropriately and performing a sex act as they lay in bed together fully clothed.
After she was found he told police that he’d abducted her because of the “deplorable conditions” she was expected to live in in her parents’ house in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
He claims he bound the girl with tape and put her in a chest before leaving the house, but when he returned she’d fled.
She was found on a roadside two miles away from her home and her description of a red brick house led police to Dewald.
A search of the house last week found two blonde hairs similar to the little girl’s, Metro reports.
Dewald is also said to have admitted to an attempted burglary three days before abducting the little girl.
He crept into the house and saw three children sleeping but did not molest them because of the “acceptable conditions” of their house.

Dewald is facing charges of kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, burglary, corruption of minors, trespassing and false imprisonment of a minor.
He is also facing charges of indecent assault and recklessly endangering another person, both misdemeanours.
Dewald is being held in lieu of bond ahead of a court appearance on May 14.
