Jose Mourinho claims Man Utd chiefs ‘did not know his philosophy’ as axed boss eyes next club
JOSE MOURINHO has attacked Manchester United and claimed his former employers “did not know his philosophy”.
The Portuguese coach, 56, is yet to find a new job after getting axed by the Red Devils in December.
Mourinho was often criticised for his defensive tactics, which weren’t popular with stars such as Paul Pogba or Alexis Sanchez.
Red Devils legend Gary Neville even slammed the Portuguese for “shaping his own philosophy” in Manchester.
Mourinho then hit back at the former United defender – and has now reiterated his genius was indeed misunderstood at Old Trafford.
He told BeIN Sports: “My game philosophy? It depends.
“If you have to go into the history of a club to train or impose your own ideas ignoring the context? It depends.
“At United, they didn’t know my philosophy.”
WHERE TO?
Mourinho has also revealed he is not close to making his coaching return as he needs reassurances over aims and targets from a potential employer.
He added: “For my part, I will not start discussing with my new club if first of all the management will not be clear with me regarding the goals to be achieved regarding sports facilities and results.
“I want to know exactly what the club wants and what can they make available to achieve these goals.”

And he could team up with his former arch-enemy Arsene Wenger in France, who is primed for the general manager role with the Ligue 1 side.
Odds have also been astonishingly slashed on Mourinho becoming the next Celtic boss.
