Daniel Descalso, Chicago Cubs: The St. Francis grad crushed a 393-foot leadoff home run on Tuesday to center field, which was being roamed by another West Catholic Athletic League product in rookie Braden Bishop.
Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic: In his first taste of the NBA playoffs, the 6-foot-9 forward out of Archbishop Mitty averaged 15.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in five games as the seventh-seeded Magic was eliminated by the Toronto Raptors.
KeeSean Johnson, Arizona Cardinals: The wide receiver out of Fresno State, who holds the program records in receptions and receiving yards, was taken in the sixth round — 174th overall — of the 2019 NFL Draft. He joins fellow Palo Alto grad Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers) as a WR in the pros.
