Naomi Scott Opens Up About 'Tricking' Everyone During Her 'Aladdin' Audition

Naomi Scott looks so glamorous on the new cover of W magazine, out today on newsstands.

Here’s what the 25-year-old actress shared:

On ignoring hateful social media comments: “I’m not going to lie to you and say I never look at Twitter to see what people are saying about me. Anyone who says that is a liar! So you have to train yourself. It’s actually like a discipline not to look.”

On her beliefs: “Ultimately, what’s really important is having an openness to questions. I’m definitely a questioner in every sense—and if someone shuts down my questions, then I question even more. Like, hmm, there’s something weird there. I have a belief system, but I don’t know everything, and we’re all just as messed up as each other.”

On her Aladdin audition: [She wore a floral dress from TopShop to the audition] “It was light blue. I never wore it again….Cut to when I show up at the first rehearsal, and I’m wearing my Nike tracksuit. It was like, ‘This is the real me—ha ha, tricked you!’ ”

Aladdin flies into theaters on May 24th.
