Line Of Duty star Adrian Dunbar new shock favourite for Strictly Come Dancing, according to bookies
LINE Of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar could be swapping AC-12 for AC-twirls – after being named the shock FAVOURITE to join the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 60-year-old Ted Hastings actor has been tipped by bookies as a surprise 4/1 entry to dance on the BBC show when it returns later this year.
He would have to swap the dour uniform for fab-u-lous sequins and would no longer be hunting bent coppers – but clamping down on those naughty bent elbows instead.
What’s more, Adrian is being named the 25-1 shot to win the entire contest, despite no one ever having seen him dance.
Coral’s Harry Aikenhead told us: “We make Adrian 4-1 to take to the Strictly dance floor, where he would be an exceptionally popular contestant.”
Other celebs being tipped to take a tilt at the Glitterball trophy when the show returns include Love Island’s Dani Dyer and singer Cheryl Tweedy.

Virgin Radio’s Chris Evans became the first person to confirm they would be doing the show when the 53-year-old announced it on The One Show back in December.
Since then, no one has followed his lead, though rower James Cracknell, ex-EastEnder Hetti Bywater and former England manager ‘Big’ Sam Allardyce have all been linked to the new series.
The Sun has contacted a rep for Adrian but our questions about him joining Strictly were not answered.
Well, he does have the right to remain silent.

If Adrian does join Strictly, he won’t be paired with Katya Jones, with The Sun revealing she lost her place on the main line-up.
She is being downgraded to the regular dancing cast and faces double heartache — as bosses look to replace her with humiliated husband Neil.
Katya and dance partner Seann, 33, threw the show into crisis last October when they were snapped snogging in a London street after a late-night drinking session.
