[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Stewart Earns KCAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Award

WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University freshman Chiante Stewart (FR/Calhan, Co.) has been selected as the KCAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced today (Apr. 30).

Stewart had an unbelievable weekend at the Southwestern Relays, winning both the High Jump (1.97m) and the Triple Jump (13.56), with his High Jump mark representing a big PR.

A native of Calhan, Colo., Stewart also came in a solid fourth place in the Long Jump (6.58m).  

Also a standout on the Falcon football team, Stewart tied for the team lead this season with three interceptions and had 27 tackles.

Stewart and the Falcons will next compete in the upcoming KCAC Championship meet, which will be held May 3-4 at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kan.
