Keita injured in early blow for Liverpool during Barcelona clash at Nou Camp
NABY KEITA’S season could be over after the Liverpool midfielder limped off during Wednesday’s Champions League clash in Barcelona.
Keita looked uncomfortable after a challenge in the 20th minute and made it immediately clear that he needed to come off.
Keita was visibly upset as he walked off the Nou Camp field, ignoring the option to be scootered away on Barcelona’s medical car.
Jordan Henderson was then summoned off the bench by Jurgen Klopp to shore things up.
But things didn’t go to plan as Luis Suarez fired Barcelona ahead.
The striker pounced cleverly on a fantastic pass by Jordi Alba in the 26th minute.
And he didn’t hold back with his celebrations, despite spending three-and-a-half years at Anfield.
Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer for £48million, although the deal had been agreed a year earlier in 2017.
He has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season.
