CHP responds to I-580 incident in San Leandro

SAN LEANDRO — The California Highway Patrol investigators are responding to a report of a possible shooting incident near Interstate 580, authorities said early Thursday afternoon.

There were no immediate details on what preceded the incident in I-580 lanes near 164th Avenue, but at least one person was possibly believed to have taken to an area hospital for medical treatment, CHP Officer Jon Franzen said.

There were no reports of Sig-alerts or other traffic alerts in the incident’s immediate wake.
