49ers’ Jimmy Garoppolo and dad laud trade-bound students

On Wednesday, 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo joined his dad, Tony, 62, a retired union electrician of more than 40 years, to recognize high school students who plan to pursue a career in a skilled trade. At just after 9 a.m., Garoppolo spoke briefly to about 90 teenagers at Silicon Valley Technical Career Education and applauded their career decision.
