Electrical: "Not for switching motor load"

I bought a 15-Amp GE switch at Wally Mart, to turn off my 700W microwave with glass turntable. The instruction says "not for switching motor load".

What is a switching motor?
Do microwaves use switching motor? i.e., is it safe to use it for my microwave?
