Petaluma bank robbery suspect arrested

PETALUMA — A 44-year-old Lakeport resident was arrested Friday on suspicion of robbing a Petaluma bank two days earlier, police said.
On Wednesday, Juan Jose Flores Jr. allegedly entered the Bank of America at 181 N. McDowell Blvd. at 4:43 p.m. and passed a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount, according to a Petaluma police news release.
After sharing surveillance photos with the public, police said they received several anonymous tips within hours identifying Flores Jr. as a potential suspect. With assistance from Lake County sheriff’s deputies, police arrested Flores Jr. at his Lakeport residence early Friday morning and
booked him into Sonoma County Jail.
