Shah Rukh Khan And Katrina Kaif to Come Together For The Remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Satte Pe Satta’
Shah Rukh Khan has stepped into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan to give the makeover of a classic film Don. Now, according to the reports, Shah Rukh Khan is set to reprise another role of the legendary actor on the big screen. He will star in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic 1982 film Satte Pe Satta along with Katrina Kaif. The original film starred Hema Malini and Kat will be playing the role of Hema in the remake.
Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif were last seen in Zero and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It is also discussed that Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the role of the villain. In the original film, Amjad Khan had played this role. Reportedly, the film will be directed by Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan Kunder.
Sharing the latest update on the remake of Satte Pe Satta, film trade analyst Sumit Kadel took to Twitter and wrote, “Satte Pe Satta remake featuring SRK is on cards as per strong hearsay in trade. Farah Khan might direct it. All rumours until things get official.”
The 1982 film is an action comedy and is based on the American musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Amitabh Bachchan played a double role in the film, that of the eldest brother and his look-alike. The film is famous for one of its songs where Hema Malini, teaches basic etiquettes to her six brothers-in-law who are unruly but warm-hearted.
However, there is no official statement by any of the actors, directors. Well, let’s see what happens. Farah has been wanting to remake Satte Pe Satta for the longest time, at least six years!
