Mthalane and Kuroda make weight for IBF title fight
We are now just a day away from seeing Masayuki Kuroda (30-7-3, 16) [黒田 雅之] challenge IBF Flyweight champion Moruti Mthalane (37-2, 25) at Korakuen Hall.
Today, ahead of their bout, the two men took part in their weigh in, and both comfortably came in under the 112lb divisional limit.
On the scales the challenger was the heavier man weighing in at 111.7lbs whilst the champion was 111.5lbs.
Not did both make weight but both sounded incredibly confident of picking up the victory tomorrow. Mthalane told the press that he was in very good condition, and that he will win tomorrow and return to his homeland as the champion, whilst Kuroda came across as someone who is confident of shocking the champion and scoring the biggest win of his career.
