Woman reveals she got blackened old grease off pan by using a 10p dishwasher tablet and vegetable peeler
A WOMAN has revealed how she got rid of blackened old grease on a pan using an easy, cheap trick.
The lady, called Michelle, proudly announced that she had used a dishwasher tablet to get her pot sparkling.
Posting on Facebook group Cleaning Tips & Tricks, the cleaning fan shared an image of the browned bottom of a pan.
The pic appeared to show a build up of old grease that had turned black.
Michelle revealed that she had placed the seemingly irretrievable pot in a water with a single dishwasher tablet.
She wrote: “Soaked this in a dishwasher tablet.”
A second picture showed how this had helped soften the old grease so much that it started to peel off.
In shot is what appears to be a vegetable peeler, which she used to scrape the worst off.
A good rinse under the tap appears to have left her with the shiny pot presented in a third picture.
The method is a very affordable one, with single dishwasher tablets costing as little as 10p in most supermarkets.
It’s not the first time cleaning fans have used dishwasher tablets outside of the dishwasher to get their homes spotless.
A mum has previously revealed how rubbing a dishwasher tablet over your filthy oven door can get it grime-free in minutes.
Another mum used the affordable item to get her grill and oven trays clean.
And a third used it to freshen up her extractor fan.
