‘Unbroken blue skies’ on the way as this week will be a scorcher
Summer is well on the way with this week set to offer blue skies and sunshine.
There will be highs of up to 24C, with the warm weather spread right across the country.
Southerly and south easterly winds and a patch of high pressure above the UK are bringing the heat.
Met Office forecaster Emma Smith told Metro.co.uk: ‘There will be unbroken blue skies for central and southern counties tomorrow.
‘As we go through the week, that trend continues.
‘On Tuesday there will be plenty of sunshine around, with temperatures warmest in the north and western areas reaching 21 or 22C.
‘Wednesday will be warmest in Scotland, northern England and northern Ireland, reaching 23 or 24.’
The warm weather will be gone by Friday, so make the most of it before then if you can.
‘On Friday and the weekend we will have a break in these warm temperatures, with showers coming in from the east,’ Emma said.
There could be some frost overnight today and tomorrow though, as the clear and cloudless days give way to chilly nights.
The warm weather in the week follows a fine weekend, with temperatures reaching 16C in London yesterday and 17C on Friday.
See you in the beer garden.
