Arsenal looking to hand strike duo Aubameyang and Lacazette new long-term deals after firing Emery’s side to Europa League final
ARSENAL are eager to tie Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette down to new deals as soon as possible, according to reports.
Lacazette and Aubameyang have flourished for the Gunners this term and the duo were the goalscoring heroes in the Europa League semi-final tie against Valencia.
In the first leg, Lacazette netted twice and Aubameyang grabbed the other in a 3-1 victory at the Emirates.
Aubameyang then took centre stage in the second leg in the Mestalla Stadium on Thursday as he claimed a stunning hat-trick in a 4-2 win.
While Arsenal’s hopes of a top-four finish were dashed after a 1-1 draw against Brighton last weekend, Aubameyang and Lacazette’s partnership has made them one of the most feared strikeforces in the Premier League.
And the Sunday Mail claim the north London outfit want to ensure they avoid a repeat situation of where they have allowed players to reach the final year of their contracts and cash in rather than letting them leave for nothing.
Robin van Persie and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are prime examples of this while Aaron Ramsey, who is a free agent this summer, is heading to Juventus.
The Mail claim that Arsenal are looking to hand a £250,000-a-week deal to Aubameyang who has two years left to run on his existing deal.

Lacazette, it is claimed, is also likely to be offered similar terms.
Aubameyang, meanwhile, will be hoping to clinch an individual accolade when his side travel to face Burnley later today (3pm) on the final day of the season.
The Gabon striker is in the running for the Golden Boot, and with 20 goals to his name, he is two behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah who is hoping to win the award for the second consecutive season.
