Man United keeping tabs on 21-year-old Championship star – report

0

Manchester United are interested in a potential swoop to sign Swansea City midfielder Daniel James, according to a report in England.

ESPN FC is reporting that the Red Devils are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old ahead of a potential bid for the Swans playmaker in the summer transfer window.

The same article states that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed the Championship talent on his transfer wish list this summer as the Manchester United boss looks to overhaul his squad.

According to the same story, Swansea value the Welsh midfielder at around £15m ahead of the summer transfer window following his impressive campaign in the Championship.

ESPN FC go on to suggest James could be one of a number of key signings in the summer as Solskjaer looks to bolster his options in defence, midfield and attack.

talkSPORT host Jim White claimed earlier this week that James could end up moving to Manchester United’s bitter rivals Liverpool FC ahead of the new Premier League season.

While Wales manager Ryan Giggs is thought to have spoken to James about a switch to Manchester United, White claimed that the Swansea star is a boyhood Liverpool FC supporter.

James has scored five times in 37 games in all competitions for the Championship side this season.
