Nasalyk: Energy Ministry should abandon management of state energy enterprises
The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine should abandon the functions of managing state-owned enterprises, minister Ihor Nasalyk has said during a meeting with experts from the government public initiative “Together Against Corruption.”
“The ministry should exclusively form the policy and regulatory framework in the energy sector. Neither the economic activities of state enterprises nor their property management should be coordinated by the ministry, which will make any corruption risks impossible,” he said on Facebook.
During the meeting, Nasalyk also informed about the functions and responsibilities of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, as well as about the measures taken to reform the corporate governance of state-owned energy enterprises.
