Petrolheads turn £100k Bentley into high-speed ‘ultra tank’ for Russian Top Gear-style show
A GROUP of Russian petrolheads have created a have taken a £100,000 British-built Bentley and turned it into a high-speed military tank.
Viral video of the Frankenstein road monster, which has tank-style track tyres, has more than three million views on YouTube.
The video starts with a team from the Top Gear-style show put the finishing touches to modified luxury car.
Before the engine is started, the filmmakers claim that the clip shows the very first road test of the Ultratank insisting they were not even sure if it was “road viable.”
And sure enough, the rubber comes off the long tank tyres at the start of the test.
The driver says this is “normal” because they need to figure out how much “tension there needs to be on the tracks.”
After a quick repair, the vehicle appears to work well, driving at high speed through a countryside setting.
It even manages to mount a steep slope despite its incredible size.
YouTube viewers have been blown away by the car calling it “evil” and “amazing.”
One wrote: “Typical British car, fitted with top quality German engine and Russian modifications, the power of global engineering at its best.”
Another said “How do you like that, Elon Musk?” referencing Tesla CEO who has revolutionised the electric car market.
