The victim of a bungled police operation above a Fitzroy bookshop on the weekend is expected to launch legal action after what's believed to be a case of mistaken identity left the man with horrific injuries.Senior political leaders and gay rights advocates have since condemned the brutal assault of Nik Dimopoulos with surgeons forced to take bone grafts and insert pins to repair his badly shattered arm and shoulder. Police minister Lisa Neville has demanded a "full explanation".
