Aldi now does SQUARE shaped sausages for under £2 that will fit perfectly in a bun
ALDI has started selling SQUARE shaped pork sausages that will fit perfectly in a butty.
The 340g packs of four cost £1.79, which works out at 45p each.
The flat patties are like burgers and are designed for sandwiches.
But their square shape means that the meat will reach the edges of your bun, which will make for a satisfying mouthful.
They’d be ideal for breakfast, especially with lots of brown sauce or tomato ketchup.
They’re on sale in stores only as one of Aldi’s “fresh weekly offers”.
That means they’ll only be on sale until stocks last so you will have to be quick if you want to try them.
Aldi isn’t the only supermarket to sell sausages designed for sandwiches.
Iceland has cheaper ones on sale for £1 for a pack of four.
Meanwhile, Morrisons sells packs of four Squig Square British Pork Sausages for £2 – 21p pricier than Aldi’s.
Square shaped sausages are actually very common in Scottish breakfasts, and are known as Lorne sausages.
They’re usually made from minced meat, rusk and spices.
