Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘will NOT reveal Archie’s birth certificate’ – delaying medical details being released

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry won’t make their new son Archie’s birth certificate public, it has been revealed.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born last Monday morning at 5.26am weighing 7lb 6oz – although many details of his birth remain a mystery.

The palace has so far not released details of the medical team who helped deliver the new royal and where the birth took place.

Usually the information is displayed on the proclamation outside of Buckingham Palace, but the couple opted to keep them hidden this week.

The Queen personally signed the declaration, instead of doctors, as it tradition.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the birth certificate will not be made available by the palace, but will be submitted as usual by a local registrar.

This is in contrast to Prince William and Kate who allowed the certificates of their three children to be publicised for the benefit of historic record.

While they may not wish to make the birth details known as of yet, they will be available to the public in due course.

When parents register a birth certificate they become a matter of public record, and will be stored with the General Register Office and can be requested within six months for £11.

It was thought that Meghan Markle was whisked from Frogmore Cottage to the plush Portland Hospital, where she gave birth hours later.

Meghan reportedly had been planning on having a home birth.

Harry, who was by Meghan’s side during labour, said the “little thing is absolutely to-die-for”.

The couple have been adamant that they wish to keep the birth as “private” as possible, but posed for a photocall at St George’s Hall on Wednesday showing off the tot.

Today, Meghan revealed a sweet snap of her little boy’s feet to Instagram as she celebrates her first US Mother’s Day.

It is the first glimpse of Archie we’ve seen on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s account since the official photocall on Wednesday.

In the shot Meghan is holding Archie in front of Forget-Me-Not flowers – famously Princess Diana’s favourite.

The post comes days after Prince Harry opened up about losing his mum Princess Diana.

Captioning the poignant image – which also makes reference to the late princess – are the words: “Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered.

“We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.”

Earlier today, it was revealed that Meghan gave Archie the middle name Harrison as a “tribute to her favourite Beatle”.

His moniker is also believed to be a tribute to Princess Diana, who has an ancestor called Archibald Campbell, 9th Earl of Argyll.

And we exclusively revealed how Meghan and Harry named Archie after army hero and the Duke’s mentor who got him deployed in Afghanistan.
