Jose Holebas to MISS FA Cup final with Man City after red card against West Ham

JOSE HOLEBAS is set to MISS the FA Cup final against Manchester City after his needless red card against West Ham.

A rule change earlier this season saw the suspensions for yellow cards relaxed between domestic competitions but sending offs were not affected.

Neither the Hornets or the Hammers had anything to play for domestically on the final day of the season, but Holebas still succumbed to the red mist.

The veteran left-back was given his marching orders for bringing down Michail Antonio when he was through on goal.

The Greek international sat down on the pitch shell shocked at the decision as he realised he would be likely to miss out on the Wembley showpiece.

Watford can still appeal Holebas’ red, who looked to have escaped without punishment when referee Chris Kavanagh looked set to book Antonio for diving.
