JESSIE J became the latest celebrity to reveal a tattoo faux pas with a spelling mistake of her own song lyrics.
She joins a host of A-list superstars who have gone under the tattoo needle before realising the error. Here’s a list of the most bizarre inking blunders.
Jessie J
The chart-topping singer made headlines this week after coming clean about her tattoo faux pas.
Jessie J referenced the lyrics to her self-penned hit, Who You Are, with the tattoo that reads: “Don’t loose who you are in the blur of the stars.”
She recently told fans: “Yes they are MY lyrics from the song Who You Are… Yes I spelt the tattoo wrong… I was 18, Yes I still don’t know the difference between lose and loose.”
Jessie, 31, went on to explain that the spelling error is why she now has a tendency to wear high-waisted clothes.
Emma Watson
The Harry Potter actress endorsed the #TimesUp campaign when she appeared at the 2018 Oscars ceremony with the hashtag’s slogan inked on her right forearm.
Fans flocked to tell Emma, 29, that her tattoo was missing the necessary apostrophe, but thankfully it was just a temporary inking.
David Beckham
Football legend David sports dozens of inkings, with all holding a personal message or connection to family members.
On his forearm sleeve, the centrepiece is wife Victoria’s name in ancient language Sanskrit – but the translation changes her name to ‘Vhictoria’.
When celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, David and Victoria Beckham are thought to have both got Hebrew tattoos that translate to ‘I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.’
Ariana Grande
25-year-old Ariana celebrated her smash hit tune 7 Rings going to number one in 16 different countries, by getting a palm tattoo of the title’s Japanese translation.
However, after sharing a pic of the inking on social media, fans told the singer that the tattoo translated to ‘small barbecue grill.’
Ariana got the blunder amended within hours, as she told fans: “Rip tiny charcoal grill. Miss you man. I actually really liked u.”

Pop Princess Britney hopped into the tattoo chair to get a Chinese symbol for “mysterious” tattooed onto her hip.
