England vs Pakistan: Liam Plunkett Caught on Camera Scratching Ball During 2nd ODI, Will ICC Look Into it as Case of Ball Tampering? WATCH VIDEO
England vs Pakistan: The 2nd ODI between England and Pakistan gave fans a glimpse of what can be expected in the upcoming World Cup. Both sides scored massive runs on a dry pitch and it could be how the season could pan out. England won the match by 12 runs but a controversy involving Liam Plunkett may have taken the sheen of the win. During the Pakistan chase, Plunkett was caught scratching the ball. He was trying to change the condition of the ball which is not allowed. What scratching also ensures is that England bowlers get the ball to swing. Plunkett scratching the ball to change the condition may have helped Chris Woakes and David Willey, who was bowling at the death.
Here is the video of Plunkett scratching the ball:

Meanwhile, it was a high-scoring encounter where more than 700 runs were scored in 100 overs. England scored 373, whereas Pakistan fell 12 runs short. Jos Buttler bagged the Man of the Match for his 55-ball 110*. Fakhar Zaman, on the other hand, slammed a breathtaking 138 off 106 balls, but that was not enough for the Men in Green.
