Tamilrockers: Student of The Year 2 Gets Leaked by Piracy Website For Full HD Free Download
Standing true to their notoriety, piracy website Tamilrockers have leaked Punit Malhotra directorial Student of The Year 2 starring Tara Sutaria, Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday. The movie hit the theatres in India on Friday, May 10 and just a day after the torrent site leaked the movie online, resulting in a blow on its already low stakes.
The movie is going to end its first weekend at the Box Office. After opening at Rs 12.06 crore, SOTY 2 went on to garner Rs 14.02 crore on its second day at the ticket window. This is higher than the opening day but lower than what was expected from the film. Student Of The Year 2 is the debut film of two lead female faces in it – Ananya and Tara. A lot of buzz was created among the audience with the introduction of the two girls. However, that didn’t completely seem to have got translated into numbers at the Box Office.
Now, the collection on Sunday isn’t expected to add much into the moolah considering it’s the day of the IPL 2019 Finale match. The movie, however, has emerged as the second highest Box Office opener for Tiger Shroff after Baaghi 2 that earned Rs 25.10 crore on its first day. The film has registered the fifth highest opening for a Hindi film this year.
This is the latest Bollywood flick to join the victim list of Tamilrockers. Recently, Tamilrockers leaked Maharshi starring Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde, Avengers: Endgame, Kee and Game of Thrones episodes among others. Earlier, big films such as 2.0, Thugs Of Hindostan, Sarkar, Kaala, Avengers: Endgame and Vishwaroopam 2 among others leaked online by Tamilrockers.
Despite strict actions taken by law enforcement agencies, Tamilrockers has been involved in the leaking of full movies online for a long time. This should be noted that watching a pirated version of the film leaked online only encourages such website incurring a loss to the entire team of the film.
The government had on February 12 introduced a bill in Rajya Sabha to amend the Cinematograph Act and impose a strict penalty to combat the menace of film piracy.
