CAPE VICTORY has shown lots of promise in two all-weather runs and came back from a break to go down in a photo at Southwell last time. He wasn’t helped by missing the kick there and should be much sharper for the experience.
Simon’s Smile came back to turf to finish a good second at Redcar last time and this slight drop in trip could help.
Spirit Of Lund got stuck in the mud at Haydock last time and is better judged on a close-up fifth here on comeback in a handicap.

BAHLWAN saves his best for this distance as he showed when winning with plenty in the tank here last time out. The handicapper has been fair with a 6lb rise in the weights and he can confirm the placings with several of today’s rivals.
Mr Shelby was one of those left in his wake last time and can hit the frame again.
Roaring Rory was a solid third at Wetherby last time and a repeat of that would give him an each-way chance.

KUPA RIVER enjoyed himself when winning by more than a length over course and distance last time out. He was in front a long way from home there and kept pulling out more when needed. He’s up 6lb for that but should go close again.
Right Action runs in the same colours and handled a similar mark when winning on his comeback at Doncaster last time out. He likes this trip and looks the biggest danger.
How Bizarre was third to Kupa River latest and has cheekpieces on for the first time today, which could help him find a bit more.
LATEST IN HORSE RACING

MAYBE TODAY won on the all-weather before switching to turf for a close-up third in a solid handicap at Epsom last time out. He keeps it simple from the front, which can work around here, and he has every chance from the same mark.
Bayshore Freeway won easily enough at Bath latest and can stand a 4lb rise in the weights over an ideal distance.
Theglasgowwarrior was beaten just over a length here last time but that was a good effort and this slightly longer distance should suit.

CHAPLIN BAY has been knocking on the door on the all-weather but had solid turf form too last season and he’s off a much lower mark on the green stuff. This trip suits and, while he’s quirky, he’s also capable.
Donnelly’s Rainbow was a solid fifth at Thirsk last time when trying to come from a long way back. He’s down the weights and should be right there.
Christmas Night finished a length ahead of him in that race and is another for the shortlist.

MI CAPRICHO has had a couple of breathing operations and they did the trick when he held on well to score over course and distance last time out. He is up just 2lb for that and should be right in the shake-up again.
Erastus has had a wind operation over the winter and could be well handicapped on his best form. He managed to hit the frame several times last summer and has an each-way shout again.
Robben Rainbow wasn’t beaten far here latest and could hit the frame again.

GUNNABEDUN has been in excellent form on the all-weather and will go close if repeating those efforts on turf. He is up 5lb for scoring at Southwell last time when showing plenty of pace for this trip and he should be right on the premises again.
The Defiant has won two out of his past three and is capable of coping with a 7lb rise in the weights for the most recent, which came over course and distance.
Brahma Kamal was a good second to The Defiant on his handicap debut in that race and is capable of improvement with few miles on the clock.

TAWSEEF is an interesting runner given he has been hurdling with some success, including when second at Carlisle last time. He’s won twice in the in stronger races than this.
Frame Rate was beaten less than a length over 1m6f here last time and should handle this slightly longer trip from 3lb higher in the weights
