First things first, a very happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there, and special shout out to the ones raising their children right (if you regularly log onto this site, odds are you are raising them right). So sit back, relax and strap it down, as the Sox look to end this road trip with a series win and a better than .500 record for it.
Lucas Giolito will try to build off of a solid last outing. Last Tuesday the righthander threw 7 1⁄3 innings of three-hit, no-run baseball, en route to the Sox first shutout of the season.
Giolito will not be the only hot pitcher coming into today's contest, as Aaron Sanchez takes the mound for the Blue Jays. Just like Giolito, Sanchez reached seven innings of work his last time out, but did allow three earned runs.
That last game for Sanchez was only his third time season making it past the sixth inning, although he has been much better at home in 2019. Over three home starts this season, the California native has allowed four runs on 11 hits, resulting in a 1.59 ERA.
