Reds at Giants, Game 3: Preview and lineups
The Cincinnati Reds come into Sunday afternoon’s game looking to end this West coast trip on a high note, as they are trying for a road sweep of the San Francisco Giants. This would be a huge boost in confidence, as they are entering a very tough stretch of competition over the next 2 months. The Reds send Tyler Mahle to the mound today, who is hoping to continue his hot start to the season. Mahle has been figuring things out as of late and his results show it. He has a nice 3.69 ERA this season and a K/BB ratio of 5.12 that is blowing his career total (2.29) out of the water. He will be facing off against Madison Bumgarner, who will be no easy task for the Reds. Bumgarner owns a 3.99 ERA this season and is coming off a 1 walk, 8 strikeout performance against the Rockies. The Reds will have to beat guys like this if they want to compete in this division, so might as well start now.
Go Reds.
