C.J. McCollum destroyed Torrey Craig's defense in the ultimate Twitter victory lap
The Portland Trail Blazers traveled to Denver for Sunday’s Game 7 and left with a comeback win thanks to C.J. McCollum’s 37-point effort.
Just as Damian Lillard was in celebration mode in his walk to the locker room, McCollum waited little time to log onto Twitter for his celebration. It was time for a much-deserved social media victory lap.
Much of McCollum’s work was done on pull-up jumpers from midrange with a huge shot coming at the 11.7-second mark to give the Blazers a three-point lead. On that play, the Nuggets had Torrey Craig matched up on McCollum. And let’s just say that C.J. was not going to let anyone compliment Craig’s effort on the play.
“Great defense my ass.”
Oh man, that’s so cruel.
McCollum destroyed Craig on the court and then finished him off for good measure on Twitter.
And McCollum had a point — Craig didn’t exactly make a strong contest on the shot (push-off or not).
